Tokens Transfer
You don't need a bank or an intermediary payment service to transfer tokens peer-to-peer once you've connected to the CosVM network; you can do so using your wallet. As a result, you are fully responsible for protecting your passwords in addition to having full ownership of your assets.
You can view your token balances, transfer tokens to and from other blockchain networks by using your wallet directly or by connecting it to a dApp like the CosVM Assets page.
View Balancesβ
On CosVM, you can view the balances of all of your cryptocurrency assets, including those that were added to or transferred from other blockchains to the CosVM network. The number of tokens and their equivalent in US dollars represent the asset's balance.
Crypto assets can be used as a means of exchange or value storage, just like any other form of money. The price of an asset can only be determined by comparing it to other assets if it is traded on an exchange. As it is used to vote on governance proposals, secure the network through staking, and pay for gas, the native CVM token adds value to CosVM.
Assets can be represented on CosVM as various token types, such as EVM ERC20 tokens or Cosmos IBC Coins. However, we think that you don't need to worry about a token's underlying representation unless you're an expert developer. The CosVM network automatically converts between representations when you simply enter the asset name.
Heading onwards CosVM
Since you only need a small amount of "gas" to transfer assets or interact with dApps, you must first ram to CosVM( get CVM tokens). This stops users from spamming the network, which rewards developers with free and paid gas.
Here are some examples of how to get into CosVM:
Use a decentralized exchange like DexHolder
Ask a friend to transfer you CVM
Use services that allow you to exchange fiat currencies (e.g. $USD) for cryptocurrencies
Transfer on the same Chainβ
You can use your wallet, such as DexHolder or Metamask, to send and receive assets from one CosVM account to another. You must enter the receiving account's address, either in its Ethereum, in order to send assets(e.g. 0x56FeB2rvd350E2543b8CBDg4d396A990b36E73e0
) or Cosmos format (e.g. CosVM1hler67er2hfdcvhvhhay657tg6jhuc4qh7r6hw
).
Transfer across Chainsβ
Using the CosVM Assets page, assets can be added to or taken out of one blockchain and added or removed from another. For instance, this can be used to offramp CosVM or convert it into fiat money.
